Today I have the flu. This is not so fun. Would like prayer for healing. Have received some but need more. So if you are reading this, please pray for me. I very much dislike being ill and out of commission. More like out of service. hah.
I am in week two of my training for the Pais Project! For those of you who don't know what that is it is an apprenticeship that makes missionaries. This is my first year. Some have been doing it for several. I am placed in England. Specifically the north in an area called Clitheroe. Right now I am in Burnley for the training. Clitheroe is half an hour away. So next week this time I will be going into schools and doing presentations on a variety of topics about being a Christian and what I believe. Very exciting. :D
I will be staying in a house with 5 other people. We will be working out of a venue called The Grand which is a concert/recording studio venue that puts on all different types of shows. Secular and Christian events. Check out the website to find out more. http://www.thegrandvenue.co.uk/
So yeah, just have been making friends, gaining some great knowledge from God's Word and preparing my heart for the people I am going to meet in my placement. :D
This country is great. We hope to make Great Britain even GREATER. We can only go up from here!

Re-Cap of the Past Two Days
My voltage converter makes a buzzing sound when I try to charge my laptop so I took it out. Therefore it died and I was not able to write for the past couple of days.
Sooo, Yesterday I went to the Twycross Zoo. I saw giraffes, prairie dogs, foxes, elephants, meer cats, some funny looking birds, every kind of monkey you can imagine and much more! That was nice.
I also went bowling one night. Got my family out of the house. Highest score bowled was a 160. Not by myself but well played nonetheless. :P
Today I went into town, watched Legally Blonde with Gemma and then went Ice Skating. Oh and yesterday I watched Legends of the Fall with Gemma during the day and then we had a game night of Clue and Scrabble with everyone later on. :D
Just been nice, clean fun! Annnndd that's my quick re-cap! It is late so I am going to read for a bit and then snooze!

Day Two
Today was fabulous. After a terrific sleep from the night before I felt refreshed and ready to go. Jet lag didn't conquer me! No sir!
Oh and here's a brief snippet from what I got up to the first night back in England.
Got to Pete and Gemma's (cousin and his wife's place) and chilled with Pete and Gemma in the living room and watched a bit of tv. Wayne's World was on, always funny. Then we went over to Karen and Bob's for dinner (Pete's parents, also family) where I had "the best lasagne in the WORLD" as Pete says.
Everyone's mom's cooking is generally the best in the world so I wasn't going to argue that point. And it was rather good. It had the perfect amount of gooey cheese in it to make your belly happy and your taste buds smile.
Ah so back to today... First things first. We drove into town to get breakfast at about 9 am. I had a delicious cheesy and tomatoey omelette with hashbrowns and beans. Put a bit a of HP on the egg and and drank it down with a nice cold glass of orange juice. Then...We drove to Wales! What a great drive. So beautiful. Green and hilly and it very much reminded me of Ireland. We went to Barmouth and down to the water, also called the Irish Sea. Just gorgeous. I got shoved into the water fully clothed. Luckily, it wasn't an angry hormone enraged heavy weight wrestler pushing me or anything and the water wasn't that deep so I really only got my feet wet. The sand was as smooth as white sugar, hardly any rocks in it at all. Then we walked up and down the little sand dunes they had on the beach.
Then we went round to the cute shops and I bought a nice picturesque post card of the boats and the Irish Sea for a friend and then went and sat down and ordered some fruit juice or a J20 I believe it's called with my family. Makes sense, instead of H20 for water its J for juice! Who would of thought!
Then we came back for pizza and I went for a jog around the neighbourhood by the canals!
I love the UK!

Day One
Leaving Canada was very strange. The first obstacle was saying goodbye to my mom at the airport. But even though it was a difficult and tear filled farewell I managed to spot the humour as a Michael Jackson look-a-like came strolling by and I couldn't help but point him out. Whether he was a hired impersonator or just a massive fan was unknown but it definitely made the moment in time easier.
Next it hit me. The "oh my, I'm actually leaving and not coming back for a long time." Well the longest I'VE ever been away from home. The feeling was quite delayed but that's when it decided to sink in. Then I read some amazing, loving and encouraging letters from a couple of friends and family. These made me cry. When you leave the country for a long while, you really realize just how much you are loved by all the people around you. It's not everyday you feel love like this. Not that I felt unloved before but people truly express what's in their hearts when you are about to leave and there is something very powerful about that.
Luckily I didn't have to be too sad because in my carry-on...I had a delicious selection of my choice favourite chocolate products awaiting me to nibble on while I listened to music, read and watched some cheesy films.
After the 9 hour ride in the sky. And here I now am writing to you on a 2 hour coach ride that is taking me to the Birmingham coach station where my cousin will be picking me up.
And that my friends, is the first part of my journey in England.
